I love these Brush With Fame stories! I didn't know about Ginsberg and the Pitjantjatjara elders. How amazing to be there for this.

Yes, it truly was! Terrific to find photos and documentation online from that time, otherwise I might have thought it was all a fantastic dream!

That's a great story Jan, thanks for the links , I have learnt so much about Allen Ginsberg, I didn't know about his photography.

What a great memory of a brush with fame. Love it

A great read Jan! And a good memory to be able to revisit. I’m sure I’ve had some brushes with fame … but I can’t recall them.

Hehe, sometimes a brush s game can be underwhelming! and could be a good reason they don’t remain in the memory bank!

Oh thanks Devananda for sharing the news, all thing must change I guess. Great that you get to be there in this final phase! You must be writing up a storm, hope it’s going well!

I love reading your brushes with fame! I’m just learning about writing in the style of Zuihitsu and the Pillow Book and this is so in alignment. We certainly are all far more connected!

Also such a beautiful tribute. Naropa, if you haven’t heard is going through some big shifts and transformations right now as they are selling the iconic Arapahoe Ave campus location.
